Green Screen Editing in CapCut for Reaction Videos

 ✅ What You’ll Need:

  • A video of your reaction (shot against a green screen)
  • The main video you’re reacting to
  • CapCut mobile or desktop app (latest version)

🧩 Step-by-Step Guide

1. Create a New Project

  • Open CapCut → Tap New Project
  • Import the main video you’re reacting to (this will be the base layer)

2. Add Your Green Screen Reaction

  • Tap Overlay → Add Overlay
  • Select your green screen video (your reaction)
  • It will appear as a layer on top of the main video

3. Remove the Green Background

  • Select the overlay clip
  • Scroll right on the toolbar and tap Chroma Key
  • Use the eyedropper tool to select the green background
  • Tap Intensity and adjust until the green is fully removed
  • Start at around 70–100%
  • Adjust Shadow or Edge feather slightly for smoother blending

4. Resize and Reposition

  • Use pinch gestures to resize your reaction video
  • Drag it to a corner (usually bottom-right or top-left)
  • Keep it proportional and not too distracting from the main video

5. Add Borders or Shadow (Optional but Recommended)

  • To make your reaction pop:
  • Add a white border using the Canvas or Outline tool
  • Add shadow to separate you from the background visually

6. Sync Audio or Add Subtitles

  • Use Split to cut and sync your reactions
  • Add Text > Auto Captions to generate subtitles for your speech
  • Match reactions with key moments in the main video

7. Finishing Touches

  • Add a Fade In/Out animation to the reaction clip
  • Use Transitions (like "flash" or "slide") if you're swapping reaction angles
  • Add sound effects or background music (CapCut has royalty-free options)

8. Export Your Video

  • Tap Export (top right)
  • Set to 1080p, 60fps for high-quality viewing

💡 Pro Tips:

  • Film your reaction with consistent lighting—avoid shadows on your green screen
  • Use a solid, evenly lit green background (green cloth or paper works)
  • Use CapCut desktop version if you need more control over audio layers or video resolution
